Andover Soccer Association releases its full August-into-September calendar, and the Andover Baseball Association sets a travel prep night ahead of mandatory tryouts.

ANDOVER -- Youth sports organizations in town are firming up their late-summer and fall schedules this week.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Andover Baseball Association has scheduled a Travel Prep Night for Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Andover Station North Fields, with age-group sessions running from 5:30 p.m. for 9U/10U, 6:30 p.m. for 11U/12U, and 8 p.m. for 13U/14U. The prep night comes ahead of the association's mandatory 2027 Travel Season tryouts on Aug. 15-16, with no makeup dates available; players trying out for the 12U and 13U levels could see their date shifted to Sept. 10 if the CRALL All Stars advance in their series. ABA also said its application to become a travel coach closes Aug. 1.

The Andover Soccer Association released a calendar of upcoming dates: intown registration for grades 1-3 closes Aug. 17, a Seacoast United summer soccer camp for grades K-8 runs Aug. 17-21, coaches training is set for Aug. 22, a travel soccer pre-season camp runs Aug. 25-27, the ASA Fall Coaches Meeting is Aug. 26, and a golf tournament fundraiser is scheduled for Aug. 31. First games of the season are set for Sept. 12, followed by a Fall Soccer Kickoff party Sept. 13. Kindergarten registration closes Sept. 27. ASA describes itself as the second-largest youth soccer association in Massachusetts, registering about 1,500 players.
