Andover Baseball Association confirms its 2027 travel registration window has closed ahead of mandatory tryouts.

ANDOVER -- Little new sports activity was reported across town, school and youth-league sources for the week of Aug. 3-9.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Andover Baseball Association's website now states "Travel Registration is Officially Closed" for the 2027 travel season, confirming an update to the registration status previously reported as closing Aug. 12. The mandatory travel tryouts remain scheduled for Aug. 15-16 at Andover Station North fields, with separate 12U and 13U tryout dates set for Sept. 10. Players are asked to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time slot for check-in and warm-up, and those trying out for pitching or catching are asked to stay 30 minutes after the main tryout window for additional evaluations.

No Andover High School games were listed for this period, and no new items were reported by the town Recreation Department, Andover Soccer Association, Andover Hockey Association, Andover Youth Lacrosse or Patch's Andover sports section beyond material already covered in prior weeks.
