The Healey-Driscoll administration announced earlier this month that Andover has been awarded a $5 million grant through the MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund, part of the state's fiscal year 2027 Community One Stop for Growth program. The Town of Andover shared the news in a post on Oct. 21.

The grant will support infrastructure improvements in the River Road corridor, aimed at preparing the district for new housing development and supporting future economic growth. The project will include improvements to transportation and utility infrastructure along River Road and Old River Road.

Paul Materazzo, Andover's director of planning and land use, recently joined Andover46 to discuss the grant and the work it will support in more detail.
