Tree Committee defers Route 133 position vote pending public input.

Andover Town Tree Committee · Meeting of May 13, 2026

ANDOVER — Tree Committee defers Route 133 position vote pending public input. Chair Willow Cheeley said the Committee would wait for a May 19 public meeting and a subsequent design consultant meeting before voting on whether to support or oppose the shared use path section of the Route 133 project, citing concerns about tree impact and the design process. The Committee advanced the Deep Roots, New Branches giveaway program, 206 of 271 trees distributed, and scheduled a final giveaway for May 18, planning to launch phase two in fall 2026 focused on residents identifying important trees in town.

Three instructional videos funded by a DCR Forestry Grant are in production, with the first scheduled for May 21.
