Select Board approves utility poles and liquor licenses at May meeting

Andover Select Board clears utility and licensing votes unanimously. The board approved two National Grid and Verizon pole-installation applications, including a redesigned placement at Argilla Road and Andover Street to address homeowner Bryan Ganz's concerns, and a mid-span pole at Andover Street and Clark Road. The board transferred an All-Alcohol Retail Package Store License to Grandpa's Inc., dba Barron's Country Store, with Gene Beraldi as designated manager.
In regular business, the board issued one-day wine and malt liquor licenses to Marble Ridge Farm LLC and Oak & Iron Brewing Co. for the June 20 Juneteenth event at Town Park. The board also voted unanimously to issue an Order of Taking for Parcel E off Lewis Street as part of ongoing town-yard redevelopment with MINCO developers, with a closing deadline of June 22, 2026.
