Seal Review Committee Picks Blended Design for Town Meeting Vote

Town Seal Review Committee · Meeting of February 1, 2024

Andover seal committee backs blended design combining the town's history and nature. The Town Seal Review Committee voted 5-2 to recommend Option C, which combines an Old Town Hall design with pine trees in the background, for presentation at the spring Town Meeting. Committee Chair Karen Van Welden-Herman, members Andrew Flanagan, John Hess, Melissa Litton, and Austin Simko supported the blended design; Tom Adams and Elaine Clements opposed.

Director of Communications Phil Geoffroy and the designer will refine the colors before public release. The estimated cost of implementing the new seal is under $5,000.
