Punchard trustees approve grant applications totaling $17,900.

Trustees of the Punchard Free School · Meeting of March 11, 2026

ANDOVER — Punchard Free School trustees approve $17,900 in Andover High School project grants. Chairperson Michele Karlberg reported that eight applications--submitted by the March 9 deadline from clubs and programs including Dia de los Muertos, Model United Nations, and Bio Builders--represent near-complete utilization of available funds, and the deadline has been extended to April 17 or 27 to solicit additional faculty proposals. Treasurer Steven Pekock reported the Punchard investment portfolio grew approximately 20 percent during the first eight months of fiscal 2025–2026 across two Schwab accounts managed by FT Putnam, though he flagged recent market volatility as a reason to revisit the baseline allocation in April.
