Punchard trustees approve $1,500 robotics grant, endorse equity reallocation

ANDOVER — The Trustees of the Punchard Free School unanimously approved a $1,500 grant for the Andover High School Robotics Club's Governor's Challenge competition in Washington, DC, and voted to shift $25,000 from cash to equities, targeting 68 percent equity holdings in the portfolio. Treasurer Steven Pekock reported more than 10 percent growth in the first six months of fiscal 2025-2026, with combined Schwab accounts now standing at $956,217.34. Kimberly Ratcliffe from FL Putnam Investment Management Company characterized 2025 as a strong year with positive 2026 outlook.
Chair Michele Karlberg urged trustees to recruit candidates for a vacant three-year seat following trustee Chip Gregory's December 2025 resignation; nomination papers are due to the town clerk by February 3.
