Andover Open Space Task Force welcomes new members, advances acquisition goals. The group introduced Hugh Conlon as the AVIS representative, replacing Doug Cummings, and Bob Dalton as a resident member, replacing Jim Leahy. The town completed acquisition of 92 Tewksbury Street, transferred to the Conservation Commission, and scheduled a site walk for August 17 at 3 p.m. to plan passive use and parking.
The Task Force identified acquisition priorities including 320 Main Street (containing a pond and wetlands), parcels at 3 West Knoll and Orchard Street, and 8 Evergreen Lane. The group will participate in refreshing the Open Space and Recreation Plan, last updated in 2018, with a consultant meeting scheduled for August 13 and public outreach beginning in mid-September.
