ANDOVER — Finance Committee recommends approval of Chandler Road synthetic athletic field warrant article. Petitioners Brian Glavon of Andover Lacrosse and Nick Zullo of Andover Soccer Association presented the project, which was supported by a petition containing 418 certified signatures, to address spring field shortages. The Finance Committee voted 7-0-1 to recommend approval of the warrant article.
In an 8-0 vote, the Committee recommended disapproval of a separate warrant article proposing a two-year moratorium on artificial turf fields, citing concerns that delays could increase project costs.
