Finance Committee approves CIP requests for fire, police equipment.

ANDOVER — Finance Committee unanimously recommends $2.6 million in public safety capital requests. The committee advanced five items including a $2.2 million Pierce 105-foot aerial ladder truck for the Fire Department and $225,000 for police cruisers, according to the January 7 minutes. Fire Chief Kyle Murphy noted the ladder truck will require 46 to 49 months for delivery due to custom specifications, while Police Chief Patrick Keefe cited replacement schedules for cruisers and 10-year-old cruiser computers.

Town Manager Andrew Flanagan introduced new Town Accountant Andrea Dimitriadis, arriving from Wilmington.
