ANDOVER — The 375th Anniversary Committee plans parade, breakfast, and cultural events for May. Buzz Stapczynski, Chair, led the committee's approval of a $500 payment to the Andover High School Marching Band and outlined a calendar of events including the Andover Patriotic Holiday Parade on Memorial Day (May 30th) centered on pre-Civil War veterans, a continental breakfast on May 6th (the town's actual founding date) for which the committee will invite local schoolchildren to contribute essays and artwork, a downtown walking tour of Andover churches in partnership with the Andover Center for History and Culture, and a display of presidential memorabilia at Memorial Hall Library. The committee set aside $3,500 for a South Church quintet performance and discussed absorbing the Fire Fighter Union's traditional Memorial Day pancake breakfast.
