ANDOVER — Commission on Disability approves March 25 minutes and advances accessibility initiatives. Nine members heard reports on coordinated bus service for Town Meeting, development of a website showcasing commission resources and events, and ongoing sidewalk repairs near Haggetts Pond to enhance trail access. Members discussed outreach to local restaurants to highlight accessibility accommodations and identified concerns with downtown bathroom accessibility for wheelchair users; Katherine was assigned to contact a congressional office and the Rotary Club on downtown improvements.
The Haggetts Pond grand opening is scheduled for May 1 at 9:30 AM and the All-Persons Trail at Goldsmith Woodlands for May 16 at 1:00 PM.
