250th Anniversary Committee approves four major spending items and moves colonial fair to October.

250th Anniversary Committee · Meeting of April 23, 2026

ANDOVER — 250th Anniversary Committee approves $2,550 in event spending and relocates Colonial Craft Fair. Chair Susan McCready oversaw unanimous votes for $500 in flags, $800 in CVS window displays, and $1,250 for committee vests. In a 5-to-1 vote, the committee moved the main Colonial Craft Fair from July 18 to October 3, 2026, citing summer vacation conflicts and better conditions for colonial reenactors.

Martha Tubinis opposed the date shift, expressing concern that October falls too late to mark the 250th anniversary. The May 25 Revolutionary War Park Rededication program will run 42 minutes and include student readings, a historic marker unveiling, and remarks on Lafayette.
